Powerful and individually adapted blowers and air guides ensure a controlled air column and thus guarantee a stable height measurement. Integrated online 3D calibration 20 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN LASER CONTOUR MEASUREMENT Increasing demands on the accuracy of radiometric thickness measurement meant that the positional influence of the material could no longer be neglected. For this reason, IMS has been using laser contour measurement for more than 20 years for exact position detection and thus provides optimal measurement results. Our cameras easily keep pace with your process line speed and capture images in full resolution. SELF-DEVELOPED LASER TECHNOLOGY The quality of the laser lines has a decisive influence on the 3D images generated by the measurement. Line width, brightness distribution and focus must be matched optimally to this measurement task. To guarantee this, IMS has been using self-developed line lasers for 3D surface inspection exclusively since 2016. FROM IMAGE TO QUALITY DECISION Sophisticated algorithms and a powerful artificial intelligence scan the surfaces fully automatically for anomalies and surface defects. Periodic defects indicate roll damage – a serious problem as it also leaves an imprint on every subsequent plate. Our algorithms detect such periodic occurrences online and notify you immediately.
